On my last session screen printing, I designed Lion, my other Yorkshire terrier. Lion is bigger and older than Lola, so his hair tones are lighter. I changed the style of drawing from Lola to Lion by instead of making big separate chunky layers for every color, I would attempt for something more simplistic. I made two layers with only lines to represent his hair with the intention of combining more than one ink to create a gradient of tones. This was a bit hard because if I redid the layer more than once with the squeegee the colours would end up blending too much. I had to learn in what angle to place the squeegee and how to put pressure on the stencil to get it perfect on the first go. This design was also a lot more simplistic because I told Romana I would teach her how to screen print and help her out with her designs.
